Ah why is this thing that expensive it's not an ISP? Is it just because it's a 1680x1050 16:10 "non-widescreen" aspect ratio. Really!

Yeah I don't get it, Samsung makes some of the best TN panels but the difference between theirs and other TN panels isn't nearly as much as the jump from TN to VA or IPS, plus not even being 1080p, being only 5ms response time on a TN panel, and having analog and DVI inputs.

The only noteworthy thing I can see about this is their innovative mechanical power switch that totally cuts off power when it's off, like old AT computers used to be. Guess that's handy if you're in an area subject to a lot of electrical storms instead of relying on a surge protector or unplugging from the wall to isolate it, but I can't see it raising the value of the monitor by more than $1, the price of a switch.

Oh, wait a minute... this has height and rotation ("pivot") adjustments, that's why it's priced where it is. Separate rear-mountable power supply too.

Yea, just lost a Dell 2001FP with the nice heavy tilt/pivot/hight stands. Wanted to hold onto to that stand, but it only could really work with that wieght panel, and most panel anymore are going to be to light... Goodwill got it.
