    This is the lowest I've seen this knife in months. Shun's are outstanding knives (I have their Santoku knife). This is a good bargain.

    What an absurd price. I can't imagine that a $150-200 knife cuts any different than a $30 knife. If your name tag doesn't start with "Chef", maybe consider saving $100+ and getting a cheaper piece of sharpened steel.

    I dont need to use one. I have friends who doesn't often cook but like to have expensive set to show off. These knifes are no difference then the razor sharp one I buy made in Thailand for $8.
    The expensive knifes are not good as what people make them out to be. People think they good because they heard from other people saying it is good and the rumor goes round and round. When all in fact they do not even know why it is good. my friends are perfect example. These people like to show off by buying expensive items thinking it is top quality.
