EBGames.com and Gamestop.com have the Sony PlayStation 3 (20 Gig) Most Wanted Bundle on pre-order for $994 + shipping. Scheduled to ship on 12/8. Here's what it includes:
Sony PlayStation 3 20GB Game System, PS3 Wireless SIXAXIS Controller
Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, Madden NFL 07, Ridge Racer 7, NBA 07
Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Resistance: Fall of Man + Official Strategy Guide
1 Year Product Replacement Plan, 12 Month Game Informer Subscription
Not again, shitty deal with bunch of shitty games.
i'll buy this console once ff13 comes out. if squaresoft even bothers with the ps3. lol
This is just insane!
$1G for a damn gaming bundle???
Most wanted bundle? Is it bundled with an XBOX360 or a Wii?
You know these deals are not so bad if there is a store near where you can return the crappy games back to. They dont charge you any more than regular price for the system as it states on the reciept and the games are all listed at i think 59 or 49.99, which you can just return back to the store if there is one in your area. People think that just because you buy the bundle you dont have a return policy. You do. I am just not getting the 20 and 60 gig crap. Is that to compete with the exbox on hard drive and hard drive??? the 60 gb for 100 more is a way better value with the wirless built in and the bigger johnson drive.
Check their notes:
We expect these bundles to ship on or before December 8th, but THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED.
Your credit card may be charged up to 9 days before shipment.
Placing an order does not guarantee shipment. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any orders.
Plus 6 games which you don't want and pay full price 6x60=360
994-360 = 634 still overpriced for console even with games for full price. It should be some deal and big rip off.
I mean and not big rip off.
#5 I tried that... It doesn't work, they make you return the ps3 when you return any of the games, you cant just buy the bundle and return all the games, they are smarter then that!
I ordered the B&N bundle (sold by gamestop) last Wednesday with an expected ship date of 12/8 and it shipped on Friday (12/1).
It was also a better bundle because you didn't get the EB junk and strategy guide. Also, EB was charging a hefty processing fee, somewhere in the order of $35. I had put the order in for the EB but cancelled after looking at the $1100 final price. The B&N bundle came to 985 including 2nd day shipping (was only $5 more than normal).
As far as returning the games, just wait until the week after Christmas and say it was a gift. You only get in-store credit, but it's better than getting stuck with games you won't ever play.
Anyway, keep on the look out at B&N.
On other hand introducing price for playstation3 20gb is 499.99 and for 60gb is 599.99 in which both one controler is included. I do not see deal, do you?
Even on the picture you see two controllers, in "bundle" is only one.
What's the big deal? Isn't everybody buying this to just auction it off it anyways? Many of the games are backordered as well -- that's just more to e-bay!
Lucky, bratty kids with parents with deep pockets will pick it up. Bastards.
The only decent game in the bundle is Resistance. Why would you spend all this money on games that nobody wants, and plus it's only the 20gb version anyway!
I though bundles were supposed to save people money - not charge them more than what the MSRP price is!!
I read online that these first units overheat.
Has anyone else read that?
I also got the B&N deal last time, this one included an extra wireless controller also, it came out $909 before tax and shipping. If you are in need of the two extra features of the 60GB (wireless, memory card readers) than the 20 is not for you. Sony allows you to upgrade the HD with any SATA drive unlike xbox. You will be able to add wireless and card readers also.
This will be around $300 after Christmas.
One must be insane to spend 1G for this piece of baconnaise...
#15, I wouldn't be surprised, as it is not uncommon for new gaming systems to have bugs in them for the first year or so - that's why I'm not in such a hurry to get one.
Sony's finished.
