Amazon has the Stopwatch Xtreme Free App (Android 2.2+) for $0 downloaded. $1 Amazon MP3 Credit included with purchase; limit one per customer. Keeps split/lap times, accuracy to 1/100th of a second and uses the volume buttons on your phone to start/stop.
Retail: $5
Install Amazon App store app, install Stopwatch app. Uninstall Amazon app, Stopwatch app stops working. It's not fun having to manage apps when you purchase from both stores (unless they fixed it since I uninstalled all the Amazon apps I had). Is it worth a free mp3?
Not sure why you need to uninstall the Amazon app?
Amazon app store uses CPU cycles and battery even when you have not opened it, or used an amazon app, since the last device boot. I can say it has gotten better. It used to have a noticeable battery drain but now not as much. I leave mine running now but I used to keep it frozen until I needed to run an Amazon app.
