Is Straight Talk any good as a cell phone provider? I hear they suspend your data service without warning whenever they want regardless of how much data you use.

I've had excellent luck with them. Give it a try for a month as that's the best thing you can do. Also, some phones work best with specific providers' towers. Look it up online and find what phones work with each provider's towers. It might be a non-issue for you if you live in an area well-covered by all the providers. Try for a month, if you don't like it, then no big deal. It's FAR cheaper than going with contract plans offered by the big names. I found an excellent refurb. smartphone on their site and it was delivered overnight. I've been using the card advertised here exclusively; it's a phenomenal deal when compared to contract plans. I have no issues other than rebooting my phone about two or three times a month, which is typical for smartphones.

Already sold out at that price...

ST is a great deal, I've had great luck with them. I would say the only "catch" is you have to have/buy your own phone which some people dont' like. You see the $300 price for a phone up front, but you save that much in a couple months using ST.

Yes straight talk gives you the option to use the towers of Tmobile or of AT&T. You have to choose one or the other when you buy the $15 sim card.

In my area of Miami, FL the AT&T gets a much better signal

Browsing the comments at Amazon less than a year later, it looks like Mr. or Mrs. CardArt was selling stolen cards and the buyers got hung out to dry.
