Sonic doesn't work so well if you have wooden dentures.
Oh, and a real Sonicare 3000 can be had for $25 anytime. Works great with rechargable AAs.
I may go with pen_sq's advice as I am on my 3rd Sonicare and 4th sonic brush. They seem to go about 18 months and then don't work any more. Now that the e5300 or whatever can be had for $35 on sale, it's not such an issue as it was when they started around $100.
