TCL is a poorly MADE IN CHINA brand. Save your monies and gas spent driving the TV back to return. Look at the resolution in the store and you'll see what I meant. It's not 240Hz!
^ If I were to guess, it'd be that this is why a 55" set is only $529.
Au contraire, this is a decent tv. Check it's reviews on amazon.
In the near future, you will start seeing more of these chinese brand televisions. They have been improving their quality a lot over the years and their prices are hard to beat.
I have this brand TV I bought about 3 years ago. Quality is not a problem but remote control compatibility is a huge problem that never is addressed. The cheap Chinese manufacturer isn't going to pay for programmers and neither will TiVo or the cheap cable company. That leaves me with remote controls coming out my ass because I'm too cheap to buy a brand name anything.
