$5.99
Google Play has The Interview HD Movie Rental for $5.99. It's also available to rent on Youtube Movies and through Xbox Videos (iTunes has decided not to offer it).

In case you've been living under a rock, this is the Seth Rogen and James Franco film that has been at the center of the North Korea Sony hack. The film was pulled from theaters but it was announced today it would be available online.

Google's rationale on Twitter for making it available: "Our mission is to make the world's information accessible -- yes, even Seth Rogen movies."

The guys who hacked Sony share Google's mission of making info available. Yes, even private Sony emails.

I'd rather not laud hackers and pay Google to see the movie which is likely at least moderately funny.

It was a test along with all the other prior attacking tests.

I do not support intellectual property rights. It should only be a matter of hours until this film becomes available free of charge thanks to others willing to share it. Then we can watch it and choose to pay for at our own discretion.

Pay for it....."AFTER" you've watched it ?????? You're suggesting Sony making pennies on the dollar,

Surviving on "faith" purchases.....? Not this society.

Make hay while the sun shines.....

Now that there is media coverage and interest in what could turn out to be a mediocre movie - create controversy and watch the money come in. Nice move. Is this worth $5.99 - I will wait and watch

Well I think Sony hacked themselves. They've always been their own worst enemy.

Peace to the people of North Korea. Let them find freedom... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe supporting this movie, however crappy it may be, will be sending a direct message to that dictator and his oppressive regime. Support freedom! Watch The Interview!

I guess Apple is run by a bunch of Communists.

To what extent might the hackers have the ability to track and identify those who rent this movie, and then mete out their retribution? Just saying.

Exactly. Report after report has stated the attack was on Sony, and had NOTHING to do with this movie. The media made the assumption it was based on the movie and ran with it.
