2. if you want to compare, then compare with horrible FiOS or cable boxes, whare you have to pay monthly.... say $10� and then you also pay for renting their box say... $10? or you pay fee for renting it but and they just don't tell you about it. but the cable box and DVR, is always included in tour service fee.
3. TiVo includes netflix, Hulu, Plex and the like.
4. you can use it as over the air TV receiver without service from cable company.
yes this isn't the latest model so it doesn't support things like 4K and so on.
