Is one expected to buy a mount separately for Tom-Tom products? Only USB cable and vehicle power cables are listed under "in the box".

From the Youtube video reviews, all of them seems to show it with mount on the back. Just ordered it, hope it comes with the mount. If not, I hope the mount for my old 4.3 TomTom will work with.

BTW, free shipping doesn't show up until final checkout. Sales tax applied for me in California and any state where TomTom have an office.

The windshield mount is permanently mounted. The deal is still live but the coupon doesn't work. I just ordered one and received email confirmation of the order including order number from Tom Tom .

Got in for one @ 60 shipped. Would be great if this works out. From reading other reviews it sounds like they had to discontinue this product because it was considered a conflict of interest. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Now, this is the most clicked and third most discussed post on Ben's, yet it doesn't even REGISTER on the "hotness" meter. WTF?

Same here. Called in earlier and was told everything was fine by the rep. Then got a cancellation email about an hour later. Wonder if it's possible/worth fighting it?

Same Here.Cancellation email received. Anyone got any knowledge if we can fight this? They definitely posted the $70 - $10 price on their website and we got confirmation. We legal advice on this. Anyone know any lawyers who could help with this question? Does Ben know what to do???

Just found this. It's about a different product, but.....

"Yes, the seller can cancel your order. The courts have repeatedly held that a merchant's, e Wal-mart, K-mart, etc., posting of an item's selling price is only an "invitation to treat". When you say that you are willing to purchase the item for the listed price, you are really making an offer. The seller is then free to accept or reject the offer. If the seller accepts it, you have a contract. If rejected, no contract. This theory is in place to protect merchants from an occasional, unintentional, and potentially costly pricing mistake.

Even assuming that you wanted to argue that the seller accepted your offer when it charged your credit card, you would probably still lose your case in court. Every contract requires a "meeting of the minds," e an agreement. The seller is going to have an easy time proving that it automatically charges credit cards every time an order is placed, and it never intended to sell you the item for such a drastically reduced price. The seller will also successfully argue that it forms the requisite "mental state" to form the contract only when it reviews all "offers" that customers make to it. When it came time to review your "offer," it rejected it. Therefore, it was not contractually obligated to sell you the item."

I also purchased the TomTom Top Gear Edition at the discounted price. I received a cancellation email yesterday. I have purchased three TomTom units in the past for family members. They all love them. Their products are very good but their business practices are a bit shady. I have no choice but to give my future business to Garmin. I choose to protest this action with my wallet.

    Thanks TomTom,

    D. Moore

Hey guys, great posts. Now, what I'm pissed about most is the fact that my payment actually went through after 4 business days and they haven't refunded my money yet. If it stays in limbo like that for another day or two, I'm going to demand they fulfill the order - or refund the money immediately( not the typical 5+ business days). After all, they actually took payment.
