Actually the 702 version of this router is a little better imo, and can be had for the same price @ Amazon.

The 702 can be powered over USB, while the 700 is strictly a wall wart and therefore not as convenient.
These are worthless as an AP, but half decent as a repeater. They are a little annoying to set up, but overall good for a quick fix. Any router that can load dd-wrt makes a much better wifi extender than this does. I tried to use one of these as a wired bridge for a camera and had to reset it daily. Once i replaced it with a DD-WRT crappy Netgear the problem was gone.
How could it be worthless as an AP while decent as a repeater?? A repeater *is* an AP which then toggles between AP and client mode to create the repeater. If anything, I'd expect just the opposite, that the repeater sucked due to the toggling. But again, either configuration requires establishment of an AP.
