it has been said/asked before why this doesnt have an AC adapter.
Don't buy, these are cheap knock offs. I got one for the kids room a while back when it was about double this price and it's a piece of junk. The buttons on the back don't do what they are suppose to do, instead they will do something random each time you push them. The "music" it plays is about 10 times too loud and sounds like someone is driving over a cat with their car. We had ours about a month before it just started flaking out. About 10-15 minutes into using it, it would just start blinking demonic red stars and was actually quite disturbing. Ours ended up in the trash where it belongs. I'll be watching for the real ones to go on sale again on Amazon and get one of those.
