The website says that the battery is not included, and offers to sell one for $3.79 (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

jgetnick - THANKS for catching that in the description...you would think that they would display that more prominently!

"The price of this flashlight dose not includes the battery."

Looks like it's a rechargeable battery, so you'll need a charger also!

This is the 2nd time ben's has posted something from DinoDirect claiming it included batt. I hope they figure that out and next time get the details right.

KMA Ben. You're losing credibility, or am I late to the game with that one?

Looks like a nice light, allows an hour of runtime at a reasonable (actually attainable given the LED used and the capacity of an 18650 Li-Ion cell, though the version DX sells claims only 510 lumens) lumen rating.

True you have to buy a battery and charger but put that in perspective. It's quite bright for the size and if you wanted a light that uses rechargeable NiMH AA cells instead, it'd have to use a minimum of two for the brightness and four for both the runtime and brightness making it not only much larger but decent NiMH cells like Eneloops cost about the same $10 for a 4-pack as it'll cost for the 18650 cell and charger.

Dino's website description seems to be wrong, I'm fairly sure this has a type II anodized aluminum body not polymer. Found a couple reviews of a slightly different version, silver colored and orangepeel diffusing type reflector instead of smooth.

Edit: The following is the same body and head but the lesser current and output XR-E R2 bin LED:
