Good Camera listed for the price. Reviews are generally good, it is a low cost camera, but takes good shots.

The good: The Canon PowerShot A3300 IS has a nice feature set for the money as well as excellent photo quality.

The bad: The camera has long shot-to-shot times and its flat buttons can be tricky to press.

The bottom line: The Canon PowerShot A3300 IS offers up nice features and excellent photos while staying simple and affordable.

lol, their $60 Nb-8l battery pack is a recommended accessory.

does anyone really use point and shoot camera anymore? seems like everyone has a smart phone, mp3 player, or tablet with a camera. just seems redundant for general use.

^ Yes I do. A decent point 'n shoot takes significantly better pictures than a smartphone or tablet with a camera, has more purpose specific features that are more readily accessed, is faster, higher quality motion stabilization at zoom, etc.

At the same time you can spend even more on a camera and get even better results. It's up to you how much to spend before the gain isn't worth the cost or bulk of more gear but today's point 'n shoot cameras are quite good compared to those of a decade ago.

It's the same old story. Yes your phone can do lots of things but it does many of them poorly. It can't even beat a $9 plastic wrist watch for telling time.

Use the right tool for the job.
