    WOW ~ only 1 week after xmas and already the discounts are rolling in, imagine saving 50% on "select items" and all you have to do it store them a FULL YEAR then hope they work when you go to use them....

    Yeah, I hear that the simple act of storing Christmas lights for a "FULL YEAR" actually increases the likelihood that they won't work later. I'd much rather purchase them at full price at the exact time I need them - before Christmas, when the prices are their absolute highest - and avoid the sales altogether. Doofus.

    I store lights a full year, every year until the next. At most there are a few bulbs out but my sets are several years old.

    Just don't buy the type where if one bulb goes out then more than that one bulb won't stay lit so it's not a PITA to find the bad bulb.

    Um - so after each Christmas you throw all your lights out to avoid storing them a FULL YEAR in case a bulb might burn out - then buy them again full price. Even though the packages almost always come with a few extra bulbs. What? lol - what a fool
