Verizon is the mos ruthless scum suckers. I signed up for this and they signed me up for something $15 more per month and then asked me to submit proof that I saw such ads. Oh the monthly payment will jump somewhere about 6 months or so as promotion discount will expire on one of the services. (how convenient for them)

I tried to check out this post when it appeared a few days ago. What a messed up outfit. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up. And they don't even know what they are talking about. I got six different answers from five different people. I used both "online chat" and voice.

Initially when I followed the link I wanted the "web only" price but I couldn't get a system I needed. So I called and chatted.

Here is what I told them:
      (A) I have one large HDTV for family viewing of all the channels.

      (B) I have one HDTV for viewing a few channels (the fios people called them "local channels").

      (C) I have four other old analog TVs that are used to watch the Time Warner 2>62 channels.

      (D) What do I need?

Here is what I got from five different FIOS people:
      (1) All I need is one "box" for the large HDTV. The other TVs can get local channels without any box.
      (2) I need one "box" for the large HDTV and any QAM HDTV will get local HDTV and local SDTV. The analog TVs will need a small decoder box.
      (3) There is no QAM. I need five decoder boxes. The HDTV will get local HD and SD. The analog will get just SD.
      (4) The decoder boxes don't support HDTV.
      (5) "Local Channels" include the news channels CNN, HNN, FOX, MSNBC, and CNBC
      (6) "Local Channels" do not include the news channels.

Who runs this outfit? Abbot and Costello! Who's on first?
