Has Tiger Direct gotten any better or are they still one of the worst companies on the planet to deal with?

Not really a good deal. 3TB drives are hovering around $100

not going to find a WD Black 3TB for anywhere close to $100... I want to say the 2TB was close to $120 in a recent deal.

Warning there is tax charged in a few states (IL and a few others I believe). Usually Tiger deals nickle and dime away the value with shipping charges and other crap. And like the others I've had rebate issues. Pass.

I'll buy it at $60 but I really doubt if it would get there by BF. The rebate makes it impossible to price-match at my local BB or Fry's.

My last TD-s buys w/ rebates have been excellent. Fast delivery and rebate handling and all. My original purchases going back several yrs. ago did not, tho. It took me a while to give them another try; but, I would not give up on them yet.
These drives were slightly less before the floods but it looks like the prices have yet to get back to where they were considering how long its been.

TD used a shady rebate house YEARS ago but their current one, 4myrebate, is pretty reliable.

tiger direct was a shady house years ago, but from what i've read around the internet, they've cleaned up their act. but they had to go buy compusa and maintain a presence in my state, so i would get charged sales tax and none of their deals have been that good.
