what is different about these? they're just not perfectly molded to your particular car?

Yep these are universal fit and do not line up exactly to the car floor. These also don't have the raised sides to hold liquids i.e. Rain, spills in the mat. Better off finding something similar unless you are into the brand name.

These mats are a must during the winter, especially if you live anywhere it snows regularly.

Floor mats are one thing for my car that I get at the dealer, usually when I buy a new car. I have never found a good after market floor mat that fits or holds right. The best ones I've gotten were some all season mats for my Honda from Honda. They don't wear and they are easy to clean.
