Staying away from the new consoles as I keep hearing that their privacy policies are getting increasingly weird. The whole "we can watch you in your living room through the Kinect" was kind of it for me.

Even with "privacy concerns" I would still suggest getting a Kinect. The features mostly work and I've been reasonably impressed with mine.

This is a perfect give if you have kids of different ages. Assassin's Creed for the older and Disney Infinity for the younger kids. That's a really good price.
