I kinda have this thing where I like to be able to upgrade my computers. Nice novelty computer for the kitchen, maybe.

You are so wrong. The iMac is WHITE. This is BLACK. They are totally different.

har #6. I'm not a fan of Vista either but if you'd rather use Win 98 you're nuts! XP, yes, 98, no. Woo!

Current pc techonology and even software requirements advance logarithmically. As time passes needs of upgrading our modern systems are more uncommon and hence limited.

10 years ago a new system was usually outdated after a few months. A top home system purchased now will perform fine for a few more years, for most of us (You who need Thz's on processor, gb's of video and Tb's of ram don't need to reply).

We will need new data processing technology in order to have good upgrades available, which does not bother me since I don't need to spend money in upgrades the way I did years ago.

Seriously, don't spend a grand on this, if you're looking for a cool kitchen or family room computer go after the HP iq506t. It's more powerful has more features and a great touch screen that makes it like a big iPod Touch. 4gigs of ram, Vista 64bit and much more.

For use in the kitchen, may we suggest a Black & Decker toaster instead of this? That would provide the best service after the sliced bread .. namely, toasted sliced bread.

Take your kitchen to your PC. Add a toaster to your case.

not bad @ 699 if #1's code works. Seems like a good spacesaver for those that don't play 3D games

A friend of mine said that one of the first ones off of the assembly line didn't grip the CD or DVD properly... and when you ejected it the media came completely out of the drive and rolled across the desk.
