Newegg has the Zotac ZBOXHD-ID34BR Nvidia Ion Blu-ray Mini Barebone System for $260 - $30 rebate [Exp 12/31] = $230 with free shipping.
Intel Atom D525 Dual-Core 1.8GHz, 250GB HDD, 4GB DDR2-800
Nvidia Ion GPU, Blu-ray, USB 3.0, eSATA, Wi-Fi, card reader
2 GB RAM DDR-667, actually.
Uoooo, Neato, I want one... I think...
Pre-installed 2GB of DDR2 800 with a capacity of 4GB. Lean on memory capacity.
Darn so close to a nice little htpc. Anyone know of something similar to this but DDR3 up to 8GB?
Since when does a HTPC need 8GB?
holding out for a better zotac... you need 500gb and 4gb ram these days
Most say 4GB is plenty for a HTPC but at this price it seems like the specifications would warrant "up to 8GB of DDR3". Another $100 for an OS and then you may have to upgrade to 4GB of expensive outdated DDR2 makes me say no deal. I guess a small laptop would do the job nicely but the inexpensive ones don't come with blu-ray.
