No way I'm buying from Tiger Direct. I'll check if Circuit City has it in stock.

Heh, yeah I remember back when they were really shady doing things like charging your credit card for services you didn't want, and the questionable rebates... but in recent years they seem to have cleaned up their act a lot, and 4myrebate seems above board too.

I don't care for their website much, but these days everyone from buy.com to Amazon has a pretty cluttered 'site, even Newegg now that they want to be like Amazon and offer everything and the kitchen sink from 3rd party merchants.

Isn't CC a storefront for TD?

No issues with several Intel & TD rebates which go to the same PDF / web link you would get from Newegg. Shipping is reasonable & no tax. Yes I was a firm hater of TD just a few months ago but so far so good. Not many places carry Zotac. If you have a rebate issue email them. I will since my usual Postal Annex is closing & I have 2 rebates to send in.

#3 is right.. TD bought out and own CC and CompUsa. So, Anything you buy from one of the store is the same store you get all your stuff at.. TD use to be Number One electronices online store decades ago. Not now thou..

For the price of this card, Not bad of a deal.. Good card. I got the 550 and pretty happy with it..

Beware of rebates from Zotac. I've sent them rebate in August and haven't received one to this day. On their web page it shows as pending, they haven't even had the courtesy to respond to my email asking what's going on.

Getting warranty from them probably will be as problematic!

I was actually kidding way back on post #1. Most people who look for deals know that TD bought up reputable names that went out of business to use as a front after they gave their own name such a bad reputation. They do seem to be better now, they even had a TV commercial recently, but I still wouldn't buy anything expensive or with a high failure rate from them.

I got a box from Tiger Direct yesterday. The box had be partially crushed. The items inside were OK except that one of the two memory modules was missing from the box and a Cooler Master CPU retail box took a little bit of the crash damage. The box wasn't taped well, somewhat poorly, and when it was crushed, apparently while in transit, an unenforced (untaped) seam along the bottom of the box separated creating an opening that allowed one of the memory modules to slip out. Tiger Direct had put the CPU cooler box and the two memory modules that were in their retail protective hard plastic cases in the box with some bulk shipping filler paper. The packaging was not very professional. Careful packaging is not one of Tiger Direct's strong points. The shipping box was handled by both UPS and USPS.

I've emailed Tiger Direct and I'm waiting for a reply to see if they will send a replacement for the missing module.

Back over a year ago it was a bad buy and outrageous rebate, now it the same... even if it's $82 lower! These had a fairly dubious reputation, not too often you see 32% 1-2 Stars for such a product. While being through TigerDic give me a bad feeling.
