If you get a domain name from Yahoo make sure to read the fine print.

Yahoo is the Roach Motel of domain registration. Once you register with them , you can't get your domain away from them. Learned from hard experience.

Yahoo must really be hurting. I remember a couple years ago when they were trying to sell Business domains for $500/Yr. The tables have turned on them now.

Can't comment on their domain registration practices, but I used to use them for email with a domain I'd registered elsewhere. The service was pretty good for a while, but then got totally unreliable. For over a month emails that should have been forwarded disappeared into the internet ether. My inquiries to customer service went completely unanswered. I had to petition my credit card for a chargeback and took my business elsewhere.

#3: That is what I thought. I had a similar situation with a website host - DO NOT EVER USE www.dh2.net - they tried to get me to transfer control of my domain to them but I did not. Three months later they cut off my account for no reason, but I still had ownership of my domain. Shady business out there!
