They force you to call in the 1 800 number and then you have to speak to an agent and give them your address, email and blah, blah, blah. A waste of 15 minutes.
Then they tried to upsell me to some $100 card for discounts at restaurants, hotels and so on.
Not really worth my time just to save $10 bucks in gas. I believe this is a deceptive business practice.
Last holiday season, I gave the gift of gas with gift cards to Taco Bell, and I did it without directly supporting a huge oil company. Much of the fryer oil Taco Bell uses gets turned into Bio-Diesel, furthering my tree hugging efforts. Now if I could just figure out how to prevent that used burrito methane gas from contributing to climate change.
