I was wondering if anyone knows if you need to actually qualify for a car loan and fill out a bunch of paperwork first, or if you can just tell them that you want the gift card and thats all you are there for. I dont want to go down and find out that I actually need to purchase the car in order to get the gift card or something like that.
Doubtful #1, some will/would pay in full upon purchase and you could state that, but check with your local dealership as they may be out of prepaid cards by now. I imagine they do have you fill out some small amount of paperwork just to document that a real person got the card instead of a dealership employee keeping them all for himself.
