eBlowme. Make sure you DO NOT use your primary e-mail address. They kill you with spam
Tempting, but how?
I used eBillme for a transaction at Onecall. I have zero spam.
Just do the shopping as usual. When checking out, select eBillme. They will show you how: they will send an invoice to you or to your parents, with your eBillme account information. You then go to your (online or onsite) bank to make the transfer. The vendor will ship when they (eBillme and vendor) received your money. So you must have a bank account, and you must be able to do the transfer. Make sure that the transfer will cost you nothing, or you would end up paying more. My bank charges monthly (flat) fee for maintaining transfer service.
Good thing is: you do not give them your bank or CC information. Downside would be money's gone but item not shipped.
I got my speakers from Onecall. Still waiting for the eBillme rebate. Not sure about other vendors.
"Tempting, but how? "
Where is MikeS when you need him???
I have got a rebate but don't plan on cancelling or changing anything about your order until it arrives. The rebate came in a reasonable amount of time though. Also, I have had no spam.
Likewise, no spam and a prompt rebate. The only problem I encountered is that companies will ship in the order that items are PAID. eBillMe takes 3 to 7 days (depends on your bank) - at the least, your order will be delayed that long, but in my experience items may go 'out of stock' while the vendor is waiting for your payment. Shouldn't be this way, but it has happened twice to me, and althougth the item was shown as "In Stock" when I ordered, it became "Backordered" by the time the eBillMe payment arrived.
