I applied for this but was turned down due to "negative relationship with bank" - I have a $7500 credit with Chase which I pay off in full every month, so that's BS. But, three years ago I opened a savings account with them and got $100 cash back - I closed the account about a year later because the interest was so low it wasn't worth it - apparently they hold that against you for a long time!!!

#1 is totally right. You can't make money on this if you don't pay off the entire balance. The percentage rate for carrying a balance will null the cash back.

#3, It's good advice that men should heed... It's based on life experience and observation of the many wussies I have known... Sometimes the truth is uncomfortable...

Seriously people? Exercise a bit of restraint and get the card, put $500 on it, receive the cash, then cancel it. EASY $$$ Done it before. Works great as long as you put the minimum amount on it, then put it away..... and CANCEL when cash is in hand.

IOW, they can refuse you the promotion for just about any reason. Before the big meltdown, they handed the bonus cash out like candy, two, three times over. Then they started cancelling "idle" cards left and right to cut down on their insurance costs.

Love this card. As the point with all credit cards pay it off every month and reap the rewards. Just takes a little control, don't spend what you can't afford. The wife and I got $600 in cash back in 2011 from this card. Highly recommend!

#11, This is not a card you use to carry a balance on. You use it like an American Express and pay it off every pay period.

If you need a card with low interest rate, look for another deal.

I'm not a wussie #13; I don't have a wife but I've banged a lot of wives that do have problems with their husbands usually money being a frequent one... After we're done knocking it out, it's not usual to laugh about the wussie husbands they hate or don't respect... Sometimes the husband have asked their MILF wife if they want to go to counseling too... The underlying problem is usually that the husband doesn't have a clue how to act like an alpha male; They're wussies. The women will be more then happy to take the wussie husband's money, have their children and live in the pretty little house... The monotonous routine and boredom sets it over time and the women eventually rationalizes seeking a man to service her properly. That's when they come looking for bad boy guys like me. Because I know what turns them on and how they want to be taken; Going to counseling ain't going to help fix the problem being married to a wussie...
