site says it comes with seeds for tomatoes, red peppers and hot peppers. these are certainly the three foods essential for sustaining life after the apocalypse.

I wonder if they still have the Japanese periscope in the foyer.

You used to be able to swivel it around and see the surroundings, but they fixed it in place once some condos were built behind the store.

Ooo...I see that the "Lifecycle of the Cabbageworm Desk Set" is on sale.

I doubt that they'll sell out as fast as BK Ribs, though.

You grow what you can. These three sprout relatively soon after setting, don't need as much light, and don't need as long to produce fruit as many alternatives. Besides when you consider what else you'll end up eating, a little bit of ketchup and hot sauce might be worth their weight in gold.

However I doubt the hot peppers are anything really hot, something like a Jalapeno or Kung Pao is more in line with the above growth characteristics than a Habanero.

$40 for a covered pot, some potting soil, gravel and three packs of seeds though... that's just NUTS. Maybe $15 delivered for the novelty factor and thicker pot than if you used something recycled from the grocery store deli.

Then again the pot is useless long before they get large enough to flower and produce fruit. Even one of the smaller pepper plants alone would be stunted in a pot this size.

I applaud them in their creativity to make money off of scared stupid people.
