Netflix continues to offer a one month free trial (usually a 2-week offer). Also, you can get $15 eBay Bucks by signing up via eBay - go to My eBay and click on your eBay Bucks. Trial can be cancelled at any time. Afterwards, it's $8 for streaming and $8 for DVDs by mail.
Starz Play-only Streaming Subscription for $7 per month
2500 American Airlines AAdvantage Miles w/ New Membership Sign-Up (cannot be combined w/ free trial)
That reminds me ... Gotta cancel membership before they jack the prices on my Sept. billing date. Thanks.
You know that's coming. But what bothers me is the service keeps getting worse. Constantly dropped connections (they used to give refunds)cutting off shows shortly after streaming release, slow to release new seasons for streaming (trying to get you to upgrade service), removing popular shows altogether. They are following the play-by-play book on how to ruin what was once a good thing.
#2, I think it would be better description that they 'lose' the new shows, rather than 'remove'.
#2, sounds likely that Netflix has identified you as a low revenue/high bandwidth user. I know for a fact they played the same game years ago when they would be slow to ship you the next set of DVDs if you returned the last set of DVDs too fast/too often. I canceled my account only after a couple of months. I quickly figured out the game Netflix plays. They entice saps with the BS advertisement that you can watch all the movies you want when, in reality, their internal policy is that you are only going to be mailed a set amount of DVDs per month.
Maybe if you quit and then signed up for a month trial, they'll open their bandwidth up to you again to tempt you to continue having an account with them... Netflix sent you hints to "upgrade". They should just spell it out: Gives us more money or you're only entitled to the crappy level of service you're getting...
