Netflix continues to offer a one month free trial of their video streaming service. Trial can be canceled at any time. Afterwards, it's $8 for streaming video. Other current promotions include:
They seem to be on the ball with their billing. When I canceled the DVD service they charged me for a DVD that wasn't back on time. I called them and they fixed it quickly. I liked Netflix. They had quick DVD shipping and a good inventory of movies but that price hike was just too much.
That price hike was $5, and that assumes you got the DVD service and Streaming. If people had any sense of a memory they would recall that they used to pay $9 for DVD's then they added streaming for free. They kept streaming for over a year. Then they finally decided to charge $5 extra for it.
Seriously, $15 a month for DVD and streaming isn't bad at all. All the fuss from less than 1 million customers leaving when their subscription base is like 22million plus. Yeah, I bet their shaking in their boots on how they are going to survive the loss of these cheap B$%#rds.
The issue is they're not using any of that money to purchase distribution rights for "A" movie releases or premium channel tv shows. The few shows they started with are now DVD only or do not include the latest seasons.
Hopefully they can secure more film and tv rights in the future. The stuff on there isn't bad, but there's a lot of non-starter movies they are piling up.
your choices are scratched dvds or streaming d list movies and waaaaay old seasons of cartoons. and a month free used to be standard. did they change this when they started charging more?
screw netflix,
I get Starz from Directv for $6.00 a month. That includes Encore.
Dropped the DVD service but love the streaming service.
Don't get Netflix for Starz. Their agreement with Netflix lapse next February.
I'm glad there has been a backlash towards Netflix, as their product was taking a dive while they hiked prices.
how good is netflix about letting people cancel? Do they charge a few cycles even after cancelling? is it a big hassle?
isnt it always free for the first month? wondering

When will the end of Netflix happen due to their many issues? It seems the CEO is having trouble keeping investors confident in their company.
They don't have a big collection for the online streaming option. mostly old movies
