Amazon with Cmple has the 10 ft. Eforcity High Speed 1080p Gold Plated HDMI to HDMI Cable for $2.71 with free shipping. Features 5Gbps transfer rate with full HDCP and uncompressed audio/video support.
Basically, one way for stores to make money on competitively priced tv's other hard goods is to sell accessories such as this cable, and service contracts/extended warranties. The retail price quoted here isn't bogus. Check Bestbuy or Radioshack.
but then on sale you can get the following fancy looking 25' for $10 delivered... would anyone have ever paid eForcity $120 retail for this one? Highly unlikely unless it was the last HDMI cable on earth, but for $10 I'm considering it as longer lengths make a little better than the cheapest cable, worthwhile.
The shielding thickness can determine the price difference between some of these cables (Monster excluded). It's hard to know exactly how good the cable is otherwise at whatever price.
I've never had an issue at Monoprice, and haven't gone anywhere else (unless it's a need it now type emergency) for anything from Coax to HDMI. They may not always be the cheapest, but I know it's going to be low enough it's not worth shopping around.

everything at radioshack is overprice.
I'd have to consider this retail price bogus because it is NEVER listed for that price from eForcity, always on sale 24/7/365.
Full retail price appears to be closer to $13 + S/H, ~ $16.54
