Here is the $9 question:
Would you prefer the $14 AR Verbatim DVD-R (MCC made)
or the $23 TDK DVD+R (CMC made)?
Not want to deal with any uncertainty? That statement is overrated, videohelp's reviews says "mixed".
I've always bought TDK Dvd's from officemax whenever they fall within the $18 range which is very often.
yeah $23 is not a deal at all.
Would rather have the -R's. Current stock is getting low.
IMO the Verbatim's are a better deal at $1 more, even before the rebate. No contest.
Isn't a 100pk more of a deal once it gets under the $20 mark?

I find that people who have problems with manufacturer's disks are inadvertently blaming the disks when the real problem is often the burner going out of service or the computer not able to keep up with a steady dtream of data and smartburn not functioning properly. I have burned disks for years from budget brands, ridata, verbatim, TDK, etc and nearly never have a issue-unless one of my burners is in the death-throws. Having said all, that, this is not a good deal as ~$20 or less is appropriate for DVD's.

Get the Verbatims.
Newegg has Verbatim 100 disk spindle for $14 after a $10 rebate. This is a very good deal if you don't mind to deal with rebate. Office max has the Magnavox for $15 is not bad either.
Is there any difference between DVD-R and DVD+R or is it just another way of representing the same thing?
-R and +R are actually differing formats. In the early days, some DVD players were compatible with one or the other format. These days nearly all players will play either version, but it's worth double-checking.
Thanks, good to know!
