i will pass because this is sony, and because its at staples
seriously wth is wrong with sony, besides its so cheap does it really make a difference?
with HD's so cheap does anyone even us cd-rs anymore? i havent burned on in years
I agree. Why are CDs just as cheap/expensive as DVDs ? With DVDs coming down in price, you would think that CDs would be close to giveaway prices.
People still use it to burn music CDs.
Don't forget that Yesbuy.net has 100 DVD cases for $9 or 100 paper CD envelopes for $5. Both appear on BensBargains right now.
I still use CD's all the time for music and burning linux live CDs to rescue old systems that don't have a DVD drive. I've never had good luck with sony, but only had good experiences with staples, so the risks kind of even out.
I've used these CD's many times with no problems. Decent deal. Thanks Ben.
I agreed with #8, I used SONY CDRs before and had no issue.
It is not necessary to get the name brands CDR. Fry's GQ, $8 per 100, will do. DVDR is another story where I would stick with TY or Verbatim.
these aren't that bad... thanks Ben!
These CDs are just fine, but I also wondered why the prices for these never seem to get any less expensive. The free shipping on orders of $50 ruins the deal for me though.
i've had good luck with these but the quality in general for CD-Rs have been pretty consistent across the major brands.
nothing wrong with sony, but they have other brands which are ok too for $9.99 for 100pk.
try wait for a circuit city sale.
Decisions, decisions
I have a Pioneer and LiteOn drive and most times these CDRs won't write at the full speed. Usually they write at only 32X.
Good deal for a good brand. thanks ben
What I don't understand is why DVDs and CDs have a close parity with price and yet DVD-DLs are still so expensive.
#18 you hit a bottom pricing in which the manufactures can't make any money if they sell it any cheaper. The cheapest I have seen CDRs are at Microcenter for $5 per 50pk.
The DVD DLs may cost more to manufacture.
who uses cd-r now...with dvd-r price down recently
