MeritLine.com has always been good for media, but I've never tried these. I only stick to Ridata and Verbatims.

I prefer Verbatim and recently picked up a 100 pack 16X for the same price after an $11 rebate from Newegg.

just a bit off topic, meritline is also selling some Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R's - 200 for 45 dollars shipped. I got them earlier this week and it turns out the media ID on these are TYG03 (instead of TYG02) which are 16x DVD-R's. Not sure if they mixed up my order or not but just thought it was worth sharing.

here's the link if anyone is interested.

Beware of counterfeit TTH02's. TDK doesn't make their own DVD or CD media any longer. Meritline is usually pretty good but something doesn't sound right if these are TTH02's.

I got the 16x verbatims with free shipping for $19 after an $11 rebate last week. I used a $5 off code in one of their promos that newegg.com sends out. Worth it to sign up.

TDKs are one of my three media of choice (Verbatims and Ridata being the other two.)

TDK sucks. bought 2 packs from costco earlier. One of the packs does not have a single disc working. Didn't bother to open the other pack and returned both to costco. I will never buy any TDK DVDRs again.

TDK used to have a good reputation. I've heard before what #5 said and think anyone should keep that in mind.

Just to add to what I posted previously - it seems that CMC in Taiwan was authorized by TDK to use the TDK media code TTH02 and the discs made by CMC for TDK used TDK's materials, their process recipe and perhaps even TDK's equipment. Other unscrupulous manufacturers did counterfeit these DVD's, too. For awhile CMC had an exclusive contract with TDK to produce their medai and the quality was usually good.

Now, TDK uses several other manufacturers to produce their CD and DVD blank media including: RiTEK, CMC, Moser Baer (in India) and perhaps others. Quality is now variable from batch to batch and manufacturer to manufacturer.

Since Meritline is a reputable supplier I would feel safe buying from them and if you get TTH02's, they are in all likelihood produced by CMC as authorized by TDK.

The problem, as I see it, (and this is true of most media these days) with TDK media is that you don't always know who actually made it and whether you are getting discs from a good batch/production run. If you buy from a reputable seller such as Meritline, SuperMediaStore, Newegg, etc., it will be very unlikely that you will receive counterfeit discs.

Until there is uniform labeling that clearly states things like the actual manufacture, media ID code, dye type and batch number the consumer will be in the dark and really won't be able to make intelligent purchasing decisions.
