I like that it has lots of disk space, anyone out there has one?

I have one (got a better deal through dell a long while back) and also have an iTouch.
It's really difficult to compare the two, if you're used to the iTouch, you'll get annoyed at the Archos and if you used to the Archos, you'll get annoyed at an iTouch.
That said, this A7 is way bigger, has a nice screen (with HD playback now possible), has plenty of options (like recording directly onto the unit as a dvr), and good sound output (decent via the in-unit speakers). On the other hand, Archos has really crappy support and firmware updates are pretty slow. The unit still has its bugs and the iTouch is supremely more stable.
If you're looking for portability, go for the A5 instead (although this monster is still car mountable and can fit in your jacket pocket...).
Despite all of this, I would pick the Archos any day. It's a total geek toy and I'm sure you will enjoy it if you get it (just remember you will need some extra patience that Apple does not require). If you're an Apple fan-boy, wait for the rumored 9" media tablet they're supposedly working on. You'll probably pay double the price but get something a little bit more stable.
Everyone that has seen my A7 always asks "what the heck is that?!" and typically wants one too. There is also a 320gb version out there...

also, you might want to wait, there are rumors that the next series will support android and have 3G connectivity.

Can't compare this and the Touch. This is better for watching videos, but it's definitely bulky and won't fit in your pocket.

techforless has archos 605 for $95-166, now at that price it really is a no brainer. expect to pay another $25-60 to make it real cool, but at this price range, another fifty bucks isn't out of the question for a very cool, handy, personal media player. The DVR and all that jazz (GPS too) is bait and switch, but the internet radio (hundreds of built in, plus whatever you put in) and the divx movie compatibility are pretty clutch. Lasts over 5 hours when new.
That said, the iTouch is cooler hands down. And I hate Apple and do not have a iTouch/iPhone.
[but secretly wish I did]
