I year warranty. Not too sure it'd be heavy duty enough for contractor-type abuse, but it'd probably be great for a home user.

Ryobi and Craftsman are made by same company, so no you aren't going to get a bag full of contractor grade stuff for less than the price of a decent drill with one battery alone, even if it's reconditioned.
On the other hand, it's not a bad value for light duty jobs if the batteries aren't half worn out already.
Other options for discounted used tools include Craigslist, the front tables at Home Depot, and pawn shops.

I have this exact set, and have remodeled 4 homes with it (the only other tool is a compound miter saw - not available cordless lol)
the flashlight is just fluff, but its been a great set so far. Compatible with all the li-ion batteries as well from ryobi. The drill is actually very good. The reciprocal saw is fine for drywall and 2x4, but doesn't have the grunt for 4x4. The circular saw is good but small - again, doesn't have the penetration of a larger (10" + ) circ. saw.
The batteries have been abused, recharged many cycles, and are still ticking. A single charge on the standard battery lasts about 4-5 hours on the drill, constant drywall screwing. The recip and circ saw last less long. With the li-ion battery i am getting more or less a full day out of it, on the drill though... 8 hours + or drywall, cabinets, fixtures, stairs, and etc depending on the needs of the job. Theyre a good tool. If the refurbed batteries are lame ( i haven't had a problem) then new ones are cheap - you still wind up ahead IMO. ( i paid close to 200 for my set, back before li-ion became available - and have since added two more standard batteries, and 1 li-ion)
extra batteries are cheap too - 30-40 from home depot for 2 of them (sold in pairs) and the li-ion batts are about 80.

Craftsman and Ryobi are not made by the same factory.. craftsman, black and decker, mccullough, and several other brands do share a plant, but ryobi tools, a subsidiary of ryobi die cast manufacturing, based out of hiroshima japan, makes its own tools.
You might be confused by the relationship between them and techtronic in europe - techtronic owns the market rights to ryobi sales as well as several sears branded items like kenmore (not craftsman however)

I've owned both, replaced battery (cells) in each, disassembled chargers and noticed the only difference was the shape of the shell, same for drill innards.
I'm not claiming every Craftsman model is made by the same company, nor that models made in the same factory aren't exclusive to one brand or the other, but for the most part they are in fact the same product.
