50 Pack Memorex DVD+R 8X Dual LayerBuy.com has this Memorex DVD+R 8X Double Layer Media 8.5GB (2 x 25 Pack) Spindle for $30 with free shipping. Even if you factor in the double capacity, the price/storage is still more than double that of single layer media. [Compare]

It needs to be said -- this is terrible media. Stick with Verbatim, available for $1.20/each at Sam's Club. In the end, that media will cost less, given the number of Memorex coasters you'll have.

Its said every time these get posted, and I still want to say it again. These suck donkey balls.

And Ben, dont you read forums (fora?) online? The correct spelling is obviously 'Duel Layer' given its prevalence on the web.

#1 and #2 you might not like but some people do. I do not like the price but I can't complain about the quality.

#2 you should not waste any more money on your English major.

"The correct spelling is obviously 'Duel Layer' given its prevalence on the web."

Google it dude!

Did you mean: dual layer DVD

#1 is 100% correct. Verbatim is what you want to buy. This media is garbage. Literally 3 of 5 of the DVDs I burn turn out to be coasters. NEVER once has that happened with Verbatim.

Just one user's experience to consider before you buy.

#3, if you dont understand that thats a joke, thats just sad. It should be fairly apparent that "given its prevalence on the web" refers to all the stupid grammar errors like there, their, and they're, hear and here, your and you're, than and then, dual and duel, farther and further, and on and on and on. So no, #3, I did not mean: dual layer DVD. And I dont need to google it. I know exactly what Im saying, even if you are too fucking thick-skulled to know what I am saying. Also, #3, go pork mer daddy. I think I hear him calling you back to bed..

I just finished burning a pack of 50 Memorex DL and at the end of the batch I lost 12. I nursed these all the way - slowest speed, nothing else running while burning, cut out overclocking, regulated power going into the computer and much more. Disappointing, but from what I have read in various forums better than most users have achieved. Amazon sell them for $32.99 for 50 so it may be worth paying a little more so you can return them if you have a bad/suspect batch.

#5, also in your rant, you forgot a butt-load of apostrophes. that's, don't, I'm, etc...should all contain one. Just sayin' if yer gunna call out "Tiburon fan boy", mayk your butt bullit proof.

memorex DL for $30 is a good deal. I've bought these in the past for slightly more from buy.
