Sent 2 of these back to Buy.com for the same problem - it stops accepting a charge from the AC adapter. Both times within a few days of recieving it! Nice netbook if they worked.
In their defense, BUY.COM took them both back.

I'm reading this on an ASUS 1000HE... Just updated to the newest BIOS 0802... I just received another 1000HE for a client...

    10" screens are too small.

The Asus 1000HE is a better by for $40 more at ZZF: 6 cell battery, "n" wifi, better processor. I find the keyboard quite usable. Anything smaller is not productive.

What's the purpose of these? Wouldn't a regular laptop be better?

my 17" Dell notebook (8lbs) puts this tiny netbook to shame, well, except when I carry it around ...

I have a 1000HE in ADDITION to my laptop. The laptop stays docked and comes out if I gotta do some heavy demos. Otherwise I travel with the netbook.

My Dell laptop weighs a ton, but it's good for using at home, on the counter or whatever.

I use Window's Remote Desktop Connection to remote into my killer desktop PC from my netbook when I'm home - get the power and connection speed of that PC, hard-wired to the cable, and I just send screens back and forth to my ASUS via my Netgear 'N' router. FAST!

I take the netbook on the road with it's standard 9.5 hr battery.
