Just FYI, the improved model (SR60i) is out. It may be worth the extra few dollars.

I brought my original SR60 in 1995. A improvement SR60i after 15 years! This original one is so great that it is still one of the best headphone money can buy regardless on price. This headphone is so detail that you can hear all the MP3 artifact and sure you will hear the degrade in sound quality after compression, even 320kpbs is used.
