Only good today, so don't wait. $50 purchase rebate, $20 upgrade rebate. Shoot, I've got an old Systemworks 2001 disk around here somewhere....

I've used the various Norton security products over the years. I always liked their effectiveness, but hated how much of system resources they hogged. So I'd try something else, not like it, go back to Norton, not like the performance penalty, try something else...
This seems to have changed with NIS2009. It's a very nice product, does not seem to impose much of a performance penalty. Symantec may have finally gotten it right.

#6: This is not correct. You can upgrade from any competitors software. Here is the text in the rebate form: "Enclose proof of previous ownership of a stand-alone or pre-loaded version of any Norton™ or Symantec™ software or another company’s antivirus, firewall, antispam, antispyware, utility, or back up software
product.
