Seems more than a little steep for a 24" at this point, though I guess that's to be expected from the Ultrasharp line (I'm suprised Ben doesn't mention that it's an ultrasharp).

i am not into heavy photography but i do appreciate quality picture. is it worth paying for this for watching movies? of course, i need a computer monitor more than an hdtv that's why i'm interested in a monitor for movies too.

After you get your monitor, use the site above to set the brightness, gamma, sharpness and contrast. The difference can be significant. You might want to do it to your current monitor.

thank you both for the responses. i appreciate it. i'll have to go to an apple store and try to compare a tn panel to an ips side by side and evaluate the difference in picture vs price. i know that this monitor uses va which is in the middle.
