Built in speaker is the selling point for me. Plus being a Sansa. In for one.

It doesn't cost them 10 to ship this and people often complain about lower quality refurbs from eCost than what you get at other places.

A bit large for a solid state storage MP3 player, and IIRC it has no built in speaker.

Loss of wifi isn't much of a loss, I think it was set up to only connect to certain music 'sites, not what most would want which is a wireless 'sync to your PC or another player to change up the tunes.

The Connect features 4GB memory, a MicroSD slot for capacity expansion, a 2.2-inch TFT color screen for viewing your music library, videos, and photos, and an internal speaker.

No mention of this being a refurb either.

i bought a handful of these players when Ritz Camera was going out of business in the area for around the same price (possibly a little less) for holiday gifts for the business. Contrary to MaJoad552, there is no video playback according to the materials and promotional information, only music, photos and the WiFi connect services. However, some recent literature says otherwise...perhaps a firmware upgrade???
