Great board, I have a Gigabyte EP45-xxxx, but I've seen a similar or same model for $80AR here. The 'R' in UD3R, means RAID - usually 0, 1, 5 are supported. Personally, I like software RAID for the added flexibility.

Yup, used this board for my first-ever system build in January. RAID 1 works beautifully. The location of the front-panel light pins is a bit of a PITA, particularly considering that I used a Gigabyte case (the colors don't match). E8500, 8GB G-Skill 1066 DDR2 RAM (with the heatspreaders of the same horizon blue as the board), smooth sailing.
