Looks interesting...$200 is not a bad price with the 1TB drive thrown in. I'd love to get a look at the on-screen interface, but if it handles all those formats, it might be a decent alternative to the PopcornHour (minus the Torrent feature).

I figured you have to leave your TV tuned to the desired channel, and then set a timer on the DVR. I took a look at it yesterday, but I don't remember if it does IR blasting...I don't think so.

so no gigabit ethernet, newegg reviewers say it doesnt record sound when comming out of standby. does mp4, but only with divx/xvid and doesn't allow you to connect to this unit via your networked pc.
other than that. for 75 bucks on newegg. not bad of a deal. i mean really what do you expect for something that costs a hundred bucks. $200 and i would expect a tuner and better software.
