#9 A slim ps3 version is in the works but probably won't be for awhile... since they didn't announce anything about it at E3.
As for all the people complaining about lack of BC... really are you going to buy a PS3 for 300+ dollars just to play PS2 games? I have a BC and I tried playing an old game and i had to take it out since it looked so dated. If you really want BC there is eBay or craigslist for that.
