Says it will switch up to 10amps. anything more than that you might not want to be switching remotely anyhow.

These work fine for reasonable distances. I wouldn't want to guarantee you could be in the garage and turn something on in a basement 300 feet away, think reasonable distance and these are cheap and work fine.
