Decent price for 500GB. I haven't seen them much cheaper. I haven't filled my 160GB drive, so not sure if the 1TB drive is worth the extra $20 - $40.

Yea not really a deal for a Desktop HDD, Especially when its a Deathstar. I'd skip over it and bide your time, Samsung has been pretty fair on the deals lately.

I'd like to note that while this drive comes in both PATA and SATA interfaces, they are either one or the other -- not SATA with a free PATA adapter as Ben seems to suggest. So far as I know this one on sale at NewEgg is strictly the SATA variety.
