This looks good, but how easy is it to convert the end product to DVD?

I'm not sure but it doesn't look like there is any provided software with this. It encodes the data in MPEG-4 format. So if you look hard enough (google) you can probably find a free MPEG-4 to dvd capable software, or you can buy some that can do it.

What bitrate does it convert at?

The support and performance of the last Pinnacle product I owned was pitiful. Many years ago tho. Hopefully this will be better. Good luck.
