Actually the cap is quite decent, it clicks into place unlike my other thumb drives. I got 4 of these free when I bought some memory a year ago and still haven't had a problem with them.

Disclaimner: DO NOT feed these after midnight or pour water on them.

are they the cute kind or the scary kind?

That depends on if youve fed them after midnight or not.

Throw the cap away and you'll never have concern of losing it again. Seriously, it's not like the contacts of a USB flash drive are subject to mortar round attack or anything, even the drives like Supertalent pico that's entirely unprotected have held up fine in my pocket. You don't put a protective cap over your PC's USB ports when you're not using them do you?

I love how cheap these drives get. I was showing off my new 16gb drive to a friend and I realized that a year from now I could probably get the same capacity for like 10 (I paid 2Cool. Hell I remember when I got my first 256mb drive for $50.

Yea, I've washed these before and they still work. I doubt a little cap will prevent much damage.

BTW, the code works on other flash drives. Give it a try.

I'm with #5. I have a bunch of USB drives and I've never lost a cap. Open package, take cap off, throw in drawer. It's always right there.
