If you have a Microcenter nearby, I recently picked up a 2.5" enclosure for $6. They had them in both the IDE and SATA flavors, USB powered (no power brick). They also a different brand for $10.

This one is Sata just in case you were wondering.

I have a Rosewill 3.5 enclosure, very nice.
